Faith and Patience
And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

We have been looking at the supplements that our faith needs. Today we will look at faith and joy. As an athlete would give his body supplements to be a peak performer, you need to realize that there are supplements to your faith that will cause you to outlast your adversaries.

Ecclesiastes 9:8
The conundrum of effective ministry is solved when you add fasting to your arsenal. When it comes to supernatural success we have the mental belief but we do not have the physical manifestations and that is because we lack spiritual power.
Fasting is the quantum leap that you need to break delays; it will be the abrupt interruption from stagnation to a life of fulfillment. Do you feel grounded and stagnated in your life and finances?
Is fasting relevant today? As with other subjects, this is a question that you must answer for yourself in order for you to fully thrust yourself forward in this endeavor. The apostle Paul made these remarks and it will behoove us to pay attention:
That is an excellent question. I can tell you that if you have never fasted before and you are just learning about it, do not jump up and say, 'Bless God, I’m going on a forty day fast.' You won't last one day!
Today there are many ministers who purport that those who fast and the churches that declare days of fasting are being legalistic. Is that the case? Is fasting legalistic?
Many times I have been asked, 'Glenn when should I fast?' That is a great question. While we can fast just because we want to have a deeper walk with God or that we want a higher dimension in a church service, the Scriptures unveil to us certain times when God's people fasted.
